Ems is a retail, people, and transformation leader with a proudly squiggly career path. Beyond her corporate work, Ems is a self-described merchant of hope, inspiration, and nourishment writing leadership and foodie stacks on Substack, with her first novel in progress. A passionate marathoner, she’ll take on her fifth and final London Marathon in 2026.

Beginning her career as a mainframe COBOL/DB2 developer, she has since held diverse roles across Retail, Transaction Banking, Risk, Finance, Digital Channels, and Corporate. Now a Programme Director for Engineering Automation, she focuses on making the software delivery lifecycle more efficient. Faith also serves as Chair of Barclays’ award-winning Women in Technology EMEA network and is a passionate supporter of inclusion and opportunity initiatives.

With over 25 years in enterprise technology, he has built, scaled, and led partnerships at Salesforce, New Relic, Certinia and Oracle, consistently exceeding ambitious targets through authentic executive relationships and strong sales execution. A proud father of two, JB is passionate about developing future leaders – mentoring both within Merkle and across the wider tech community. Based in Harrogate, he spends his downtime running, cycling and hiking across Yorkshire with his dog, Riley.

Laura Hyatt

Laura is a Senior Customer Engineer for Financial Services at Google Cloud, with over a decade of technical experience specializing in resilience and disaster recovery. She works closely with financial clients to design robust cloud architectures and leads the resilience pillar of the Google Cloud Well-Architected Framework – having recently authored its official documentation. Laura also serves as EMEA Tech Lead for Google Women Techmakers, guiding the region’s technical direction and delivering a six-week public speaking training course for women. Before joining Google, she worked at AWS, giving her deep insight into the multi-cloud landscape.

In recognition of his impact, he was named Diversity Ally of the Year at both the UK and Global Digital Revolution Awards in 2024.
