Excellence in AI

The Excellence in AI Award recognises the most exceptional applications of artificial intelligence in the last 12 months.

Criteria

Our judges are looking for a team that has delivered an incredible AI project, looking at areas such as innovation, scalability, real-world impact, technical excellence, user experience and ethical consideration. If your project does not utilise AI, please consider our Digital Transformation Project of the Year award instead.

Successful nominations should:
  • Summarise the single project or overall strategy undertaken and why it was successful.
  • Outline the key challenges and approaches adopted to deliver the digital transformation.
  • Demonstrate a high level of creativity and originality in its use of artificial intelligence. It should showcase novel approaches, techniques, or technologies that push the boundaries of AI.
  • Show the potential to scale and handle large amounts of data or users. It should demonstrate the ability to adapt and grow as the demands of the users or the business increase.
  • Provide evidence of a tangible and significant impact on the real world. It should solve a problem, address a need, or improve efficiency in a specific industry or domain using AI.
  • Exhibit technical excellence in the implementation of AI algorithms, models, or systems. It should showcase robustness, accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in its AI capabilities.
  • Prioritise user experience and provide a seamless and intuitive interface for users to interact with the AI-powered functionalities. It should prioritise usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and principles in its use of AI. It should prioritise fairness, transparency, privacy, and security in its AI systems and ensure that potential biases or risks are addressed appropriately.
