Nominations now open for the Digital Revolution Awards 2023

The 2023 Digital Revolution Awards has officially launched, with nine new categories announced to make this year’s the biggest edition to date, as well as welcoming a new global charity partner that will benefit from the awards ceremonies and fundraisers held across the planet.

Now in its third year, the not-for-profit initiative has become a showcase event for cloud technology professionals and organizations worldwide, celebrating one of the fastest-growing areas of tech as well as raising money for great causes. With nominations now open, new categories for 2023 include Diversity Ally of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to the Earth, and Partner of the Year awards across a number of tech ecosystems including Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud Platform, as well as categories that recognize individuals and businesses making an outstanding contribution in those communities.

“I’m looking forward to returning for a third year to host the Digital Revolution Awards. It’s always a real joy to be part of an event that celebrates achievement, innovation, and progress in what is an undoubtedly vital space. I can’t wait to see some of the amazing achievements that have been made in the last year.”

While the awards were created to celebrate the pioneers and ceiling-breakers that are harnessing the power that cloud technologies have to drive digital transformation, many of the new categories also reflect the need to champion those looking to make the industry a more inclusive one, as well as those using tech to improve the world we live in.

Of the new categories, Diversity Ally of the Year will celebrate an individual that has made a clear and impactful difference to champion and support voices that have gone unheard, while the Outstanding Contribution to the Earth will recognize those that use cloud technology to tackle the climate emergency. To help show its commitment to also giving back to the world, organizers have committed to planting a tree for every nomination received, vie Tree Nation.

The award ceremony and fundraiser will be held in London on Friday 21st April 2023, and will be joined by a live event in Frankfurt on Friday 5th May, as well as a virtual North America event on Thursday 18th May 2023 culminating in a global show on Friday 2nd June 2023.

“The awards truly are a celebration of all that is good about cloud technology,” said Kashif Naqshbandi, Chief Marketing Officer of Tenth Revolution Group, the firm behind the event. “Of course it has the potential to transform businesses through digital infrastructure, but we’re also aware that it’s an area of tech that is different from many others.”

In addition to raising awareness for those amongst the cloud community who make the biggest impact, the awards have also helped generate vital funds for deserving causes. Last year’s event raised over £5,000 for the awards’ charity partner of the year, St Martin’s School in Kenya, with US non-profit Climb Hire also benefitting as a new charity partner for 2023. The organization was founded in 2019 with the aim of helping give adults from low-income communities the opportunity of a rewarding career in cloud technology.

Nominations are open now for any individual or organization to take part in, with an early bird discount available for any submission received before September 30, 2023. More information on pricing and award criteria is available here.

“The cloud is a community full of evangelists and advocates who also see its potential to do good, and people doing their best to make this a much more inclusive and diverse sector to work in, one where voices that have previously been overlooked are both welcomed and heard. At a time when there’s a massive skills gap that threatens to hold back progress, that’s never been more important to businesses, beyond it simply being the right thing to do.”
